Seasons Greetings!
We're coming up to a very busy time of year, and trust that the Cadets have paced themselves, and done well on their exams. Reminder that there is no Air Cadet meeting next week, December 27th. We will be returning for our regular CO's Parade on January 3rd, in the new year. A reminder that this is slated as a 'Sports Night' for the Cadets after the CO's Parade, so please bring your issued PT Gear.
We hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday Season, and look forward to seeing you all fresh and ready to go in the New Year.
Have You Returned Your OPC (Ontario Provincial Committee) Tickets?
OPC Ticket stubs and all monies collected should now be returned to Lt. Maheux or CI Oldfield, A. If you have outstanding money, please bring it in RIGHT AWAY so this can be sent off to London. If you have any questions, you can contact Lieut. Maheux or CI Oldfield, A.
Tickets are $2.00 each or 3 tickets for $5.00 which makes the entire book valued at $20.00
Attendance Announcement
We have had a lot of people absent and not calling in to the Air Cadet office to let us know. A lot of what we are able to do as a Squadron is dependent on not only the number of young people who have joined Cadets, but just as importantly, the number of young people who are present on any given Monday night. If your Cadet is not able to attend on a periodic basis, please call the Admin office at (519) 256-5906 so that they can be listed as 'excused' and not 'absent'.
If your cadet is going to be away for an extended period of time, due to illness or a conflict with another activity, please give us a call so we can determine whether a 'leave of absence' would be a better way to go.
Remember, attendance, along with performance, attititude, and ability play a part in determining promotions, camp recommendations, etc.
An attendance sheet is available each Monday night at the front door for the Cadets to sign in. If a Cadet does not see their name (the list is alphabetical, by rank, by flight) they should contact the Administation Office to determine if (a) they are not actually listed as being 'on strength' or (b) where their name is on the list.
