Welcome to 364 Lancaster Squadron - Parents' Committee Web Site.
What IS 364 Lancaster Squadron? It is the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron for Windsor, Ontario.
And what are the Royal Canadian Air Cadets? The Royal Canadian Air Cadets (RCAC) are a group of people whose aims are:
- to develop in youth the attributes of good citizenship and leadership.
- to promote physical fitness
- to stimulate an interest in the air activities of the Canadian Forces.
(taken from: www.aircadet.com/general/aims.htm)
This is accomplished through instruction and by the example of Officers and Staff in such values as loyalty, professionalism, mutual respect and integrity. Showing how these should affect the day to day living of our lives.
So, who are the Parents Committee and what do they do? This is a group of any interested Air Cadet parent who will work with the Officers and Staff, with the Sponsoring Body, and with the Air Cadets themselves to help the young people get the most out of the programme.
And this web site is here to help the parents in this task by providing information about the weekly schedule, special events and opportunities, summer training courses, and badge and uniform care and requirements. Need to know when and where we meet? It's on this site! Want to get more information? You can find out how to contact us with the "Contact Info" link.
It is also a place to see some of the fun side of Cadets! (Hey, it's not ALL work and learning.) with pictures of some of the events and activities that Cadets participate in.
And finally, it's your space. So let us know what you would find helpful, and we'll see what we can do.
